"In 1970 I recommended David Pearson to Gulf + Western. He put my Teeth of the Dog golf course, and Casa de Campo, on the map. Now he and his son Chris are promoting Santa Barbara Plantation in Curacao, where my son P.B. and I are designing a course. Alice says it’s in the genes."

DAVID PEARSON

Founder David Pearson was a member of the original Sea Pines Plantation team on Hilton Head Island and went on to promote Laurance Rockefeller’s Rockresorts properties in the Caribbean. From those fortuitous beginnings, his firm grew to serve some of the hallmark resort and club communities throughout the nation.

Pearson and his firm are nationally known for their successes in inaugurating and branding new resort communities. Among the many examples are Casa de Campo, Fisher Island, Punta Cana Resort & Club, Royal Westmoreland and Desert Mountain.

He is an accredited member of the Miami chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. He was also given the coveted President’s Award of the Florida Audubon Society for his work in conservation. He has served as advisor, writer and strategist on the political campaigns of former U.S. Senator (and former Governor) Bob Graham, and former Florida Governors Lawton Chiles, Rubin Askew and LeRoy Collins.

He served in both the Kennedy and Johnson Administrations in Washington and is a Korean War-era veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Emory University.

His specialties include a wide knowledge of golf, travel, real estate and lifestyle media; an enviable writing style which evokes the essence of his clients’ properties; and varied experience in conceiving and carrying out major special events.
